Description:
Two very attractive small Victorian brass fireside trivets. These are Scottish made and are identical in size and proportions but have different patterns and inscriptions. One has a complete tea set with the inscription “ The cup, peace and plenty that cheers” the other has a complete set of fireside tools and the inscription “Our ain fireside”. One of the trivets has a makers mark on the underside “Greenlees Glasgow”. They are in fine original condition. Sizes: 7”(18cms) diameter, 1”(2 ½ cms) high. Date circa 1890.
