Description:
A rare example of a George 111 period lace winder, this is made in oak and elm and is in excellent untouched condition with all its original colour and patina. Most cottages would have had one of these, very few have survived. The winder would originally have had three prongs on each arm. Sizes: Overall sizes: 16 ½ “(43cms) wide, 13 ½”(34cms deep, 10(26cms) high. Sizes with the winder detached: 14”(36cms) wide, 7 ½”(19cms) deep, 10”(26cms) high. Date circa 1800.
