Description:
A fine, heavy quality, pair of 19th cent. Chippendale style mahogany dining room armchairs with interlaced carved splat backs standing on carved cabriole front legs and claw and ball feet. They have drop in seats. They have labels showing they were made by George Trollope and Sons, Belgrave Square, London. One of the top London furniture makers in the 19th cent. Sizes given are the overall sizes: followed by the seat sizes: 24”(61cms) wide, 23”(59cms) deep, 37”(94cms) high. Seat sizes: 22”(56cms) wide, 17”(44cms) deep, 18”(46cms) high. Date circa 1870.
