A very elegant, George 111 period, mahogany bow front dressing mirror or toilet mirror. The shield shaped swing mirror has shaped supports, this stands on a bow fronted base with three mahogany lined drawers, the centre drawer has a working key, the base stands on ogee bracket feet. The mirror frame and base are all edged in boxwood string inlay. This mirror is in excellent strong condition with a fine old wax polished surface. The mirror glass has been replaced. Sizes:17”(43cms) wide, 8 ¼ “(21cms) deep, 23”(58cms) high. Date circa 1800.
